Spirituality

Our faith-based community

Luther Manor was founded in 1961 by the United Lutheran Program for the Aging, built on the Christian beliefs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Sharing God’s love is at the heart of all we do, so we recognize the importance of the continued spiritual growth of our residents.

Sunday worship services take place weekly in the Lippold Faith and Education Center and are simulcast on our in-house TV system for those unable to attend. Services are also held in the Adult Day Center and Special Care Center for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. A Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated monthly, along with weekly Rosary services.

In addition, the Luther Manor Pastoral Care team offers a variety of faith-based programs to residents of all faiths, which included support and counseling groups and spiritual support for hospice clients and families.

Stay connected
While Luther Manor is not a congregation, we have a unique relationship with many of the parishes and congregations where our residents of different faiths maintain memberships. We encourage our residents to invite their pastors to our community and hold a service here on campus.
