The Luther Manor Foundation

The Luther Manor Foundation was created in 1985 as the sole-support charitable not-for-profit organization to provide long-term financial support for Luther Manor and its residents.

Through Foundation subsidies, no resident has ever had to leave Luther Manor because of an inability to pay for his or her care. Luther Manor's ministry could not exist without the generous financial support of hundreds of individuals, businesses and foundations ... as well as the continued support of more than 70 partner congregations.

• Supplemental funding for residents who outlive their financial resources.
• Grants to help bridge the gap of government reimbursement (Medicaid) shortfall.
• Support for Luther Manor's community service programs.
• Seed money for new Luther Manor programs.

• People are living longer.
• As longevity increases, more people are outliving the ability to pay for the services associated with long term care.
• Medicaid payments (government funding) fall considerably short of the actual cost of providing skilled nursing care.
